We’re thrilled to announce a brand-new curriculum coming to Chabad of Cheviot Hills this fall for our Kindergarten through Grade 5 students.
Raising the next generation of proud Jews
Dear Parents,
Imagine your child coming home from Hebrew School talking about cotton candy sculptures, exploding rainbow experiments, and homemade NeeDohs—but they could also tell you about Rivka’s kindness, Avraham’s hospitality, and why they are proud to be Jewish in 2026.
That's exactly what we're bringing to Hebrew School this year with our brand-new Ckids Bereishis curriculum, exploring the roots of our people as recounted in the first book of the Torah.
Every lesson is packed with hands-on activities—experiments, crafts, recipes, storytelling, hunts, games, and presentations that help children experience Judaism in a very meaningful and real way. Behind every game, recipe, science experiment, and creative project is a foundational Jewish concept they'll remember long after class is over. From kiddush factory kits to snake tag, airbrush totes or exploding rainbows, our goal at Ckids Hebrew School is to ensure that learning about Judaism is an unforgettable, enriching experience all around.
One highlight of this year’s curriculum is a global CKids Giving Day, a collaboration with Pantry Packers that makes giving back to the community an exciting hands-on experience.
In Ckids Bereishis, we will explore big questions like: Who am I? Where do I come from? What makes me proud to be Jewish?
Along the way, we’ll discover the timeless values of our Torah heroes, create memories that make Hebrew School the highlight of their week, and inspire the next generation of proud and empowered Jews.

While we encourage synagogue attendance, we do not require our students to be members in a synagogue. Our students come from various affiliations and backgrounds.
BAR / BAT MITZVAH LESSONS
As your child nears the age of Bar/Bat Mitzvah, preparation for the big day begins. We believe there should be more than mere memorization of a recital. Our program delves into the whole process and true meaning of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah. The child achieves a much greater appreciation and understanding of a Jewish adult's responsibilities. Private tutoring is arranged and the Rabbi is available for consultation on all aspects of the special day.

Education
In a mature tree, a gash here or a torn branch there is of little or no consequence. But the smallest scratch in the seed, the slightest nick in the sapling, results in an irrevocable deformity -- in a flaw which the decades to come will deepen rather than erase.
Hence the great care and vigilance required in the education of the young. The values imparted to the child must be impeccable, free of even the slightest and most "forgivable" blemish.
